I have bled the brakes a couple of times it used to be that you would put the truck in neutral and step all the way down the brake and it would stop you eventually now I don't have any brakes until my foot gets to the floor at which point it's immediate full on so every time I step on the brakes it's like I'm stomping on them. It feels like a hundred percent of the breaking power all condensed into the last 10% or 5% of the brake pedal travel. Anyone had this problem or know how it can fix it
First off, are these drum breaks all the way around, or disks in the front? Next question, how long since the breaks were adjusted at each wheel hub? Is the vac. booster hooked up and working?
Sounds like from information provided master cylinder is failing.
That or OP bought one of those booster/M.C. combo units. Which come with a rebuilt (not a good idea) M.C. and a new booster. I'm thinking the booster rod isn't adjusted right.
