Hello all,
. So to make a long story short, I woke up today to temps in the single digits. Truck wouldn't start so I assumed fuel issue. Tuck actually threw code of p2291. Which apparently is a low injector pressure code. More research suggested to check oil so I did and found oil was way low. Addeded 2 quarts to fix oil issue and truck started. It's a 2012 6.7 that has been recently deleted, EGR delete , DPF delete with mini maxx tuner. Never had oil issues before. Question is, where did oil go? Not leaking and tail pipe is dry. Any suggestions on what might be going on. Thanks for any help..

Reason: Spelling
Injector Control Pressure Too Low - Engine Cranking
What the P2291 code means
This trouble code will only be found on diesel powered vehicles. It indicates that the injector control pressure for the high pressure oil has fallen below the threshold of acceptance set by the manufacturer during the cranking of the engine.”
So I checked the oil and it was not on the dipstick.
Okay first thing s e n i x was giving you good advice trying to get to the point what you need to understand is and don't mind my bad grammar and lack of punctuation please LOL the 6.0 in the 7.3 had injectors that relied on oil pressure trust me I own them for years. Your truck is an electronic injection system hence the quiet truck multiple injections per second due to electronic control so you do not have an issue with the injector you have a low pressure warning due to the fact that the fuel is gelling trust me my 17 even had this problem in Upstate New York for some reason the fuel this year really sucks but then again in Upstate New York it always sucks anyway. What you need get the truck thawed out change the fuel filters and learn about anti gel you can use Ford's version PM something I believe it's called or power service or many others I'm actually using the Howe's anti gel due to the extent of how long it's been cold working well 14 below kick right over yesterday. As far as your oil being low that's not a good thing either usually these trucks make oil so that's kind of funny can't help you with where the oil went you just seem to be combined the two issues and thinking that's what happened it's not so your injectors have nothing to do with oil they are electronic controlled let me know if you have any other questions the best thing I can think you can do is change the fuel filters they've been gelled and will never be the same take care
Thank you so much for the reply. I really appreciate it. Fuel filters have been changed and oil is good. No problem today. I will keep eye on fuel and oil in near future. I have been using stynadine all season full treatment since I’ve had the truck. It’s supposed to have anti-gell. I don’t know. I’m just going to be super vigil on checking everything from now on. Thanks again
