I recently had my Bronco painted with a single stage 2k urethane - Dimension Pro by Sherwin Williams
I bought an extra quart so I have some for future use.
My question is:
If a painted bolt head in an area concealed by the tailgate etc. gets messed by a wrench or socket, can I touch up the bolt head by using a small hobby brush without using any hardner- ie: straight out of the quart container?
My concern is if the paint will dry or solidify without the hardner.

In short- yes......if I may recommend though....if you can get an empty nail polish bottle, they make great touch up paint bottles..... just slightly reduce the paint ...typically about 50%...and this makes it perfect for touch up...otherwise you will find that the paint is a little dark
I did get an EZ mix type of bottle of touch up from the painter, but it seemed too dark and didn't really match. Left me wondering what the heck.....
Maybe I will add some reducer to the bottle and see how it works.
Took some paint out of the EZ Mix bottle that my painter gave me and put it in a bottle cap.
Thinned it about 50% with reducer and it looks absolutely perfect.
Exact color match.
Thanks for awesome advice!
You are sooo welcome!!!!!!!! (despite what some teenagers think us old farts actually know a little bit of a few things !)
