paint help
hi i want to paint my truck with green candy apple with dupli- color paint shop its a candy coat .what will happen if i just spray that on and not use candy base coat.have the paint already i have never used candy coat paint . whats the best way. besides primer and candy coat silver base dont really want a shiney finish thanks

I have used the stuff twice, not satisfied either time. Assuming the candy is the same as the rest, it is a lacquer and dries about as fast as it comes out the gun. Just follow the directions. Primer, base, candy and clear. You need to be consistant with your coverage just like metallic paint, or you wind up with tiger stripe effect. While it may seem cheaper than regular auto paint, it is not, due to the fact it comes ready to shoot with no reducing. I'd use a 1.3 tip if I had to use it again. Hope you have a nice heated garage or spray booth. But just my opinion. Good luck.
