I'm currently planning a 6.2 marine engine build and i was told the 2017 raptor 6.2 engine would be a great place to start, i will be supercharging it, I would like to see about 650 hp any thought about where to start? it will be going in a 27 cat that I'm building
We have a lot of boat manufactures in my area, I use to install GM Indmar motors at Mastercraft. I've heard a lot of good with the 6.2 marine motors. Seems like they would be a great candidate because of the high revving nature.
If your going to be adding boost and pushing it that far, I would check into the bottom end. I don't know what the marine engines have, but if it is cast, I would call livernois motorsports, and look into a forged bottom end.
Not quite the HP number your looking for, but I'm sure it's a pulley swap and tune away. Could you live with 510HP and 580TQ until the warranty ran out? I'm sure that is a very conservative tune since they are warranting it.

thank you, the 6.2 has a cast iron block i could be wrong on the year but i thought it was 2017 i bought a set of cam for the 2017 6.2 from ford. those cams are on there way to California to a company that is going to make a set that will be a little bit better for a boat engine. i was wrong about the engine it was a super duty 6.2 not a raptor engine, which has 430 lb-ft. @3,800.
