I love my 1996 F-150 XLT but it is overwhelming on the blue. I am looking for help with changing by interior from BLUE!! to a less overwhelming color, like grey or a grey/black combo. I am looking at a vinyl floor from Bronco Graveyard, and I am looking at a new headliner, but what about the rest of the interior? I don't want to do just seat covers so is there kits to redo the cloth? And can I just spray paint the dash?
I've converted plenty of interiors from one color to another ( for me, it's typically red. I always get red interiors, and dont care for them)
Ive tried painting, it never turns out well. your best bet for all the plastic interior parts ( dash, kick panels, A and B pillar trim, headliner trim) is to just source them from a junkyard or a parts truck, and they are a relatively simple swap over. The dash may seem daunting, but it's all simple hand tools, and a few hours will have the old one out.
Seats are getting harder and harder to find in good shape, so either a seat cover for yours, or take it to an upholstery shop. And i always suggest, if possible, just get new carpet and headliner.
