Have any of you guys dyed the interior panels of our trucks? I'm looking at redoing all my interior and changing from Red to another color. What product did you use and how is it holding up. I've heard Eastwood has a good kit to do this.
I did my door panels, all the soft vinyl parts in black using the ValuGard ETR kit, for the hard panels, I cleaned and scuffed, and shot with aerosol satin black. Took the dash appart and painted it black as well. The panels, etc, any soft vinyl parts that is, will stay black for a decade or longer as long as the last step, UV Gard is applied over the Color Gard. Have used this system for 13 years on various vehicles. It only comes in black.
I am not allowed to post in a thread, Mine is a 77 Ranchero that had that "washed out" red interior. Putting in black carpet, new bucket seats that are red and black. There might be a photo or two in my "garage".
