Sooo....I have a dilema. A few years back my father-in-law gave me his '76 F150 4x4 390 4spd. Decent truck but it needs front fenders, cab corners, floor pans, etc. All the same rot in all the same places. I have bought some of the parts but not quite all. Now this is my wifes favorite truck and certain things are not allowed to be fixed. Cigarette lighter burns in the horn button. funny crap like that. Now, he has purchased anouther but an F100 300 I6 Auto 2wd. Cab appears to be awesome from what Ive seen. Bed ok, Front fenders Ok. Has a broken valve spring i think. He wants to sell it to me for $1,000 to use for parts on Old Blue, his origional truck, but the F100 is too nice to chop up for parts that I already bought. I also don't have a nice inside place to put them both. Too many other things in the shed. Just hate to throw away OK parts for Better ones. Probably a dilema anyone on this forum would be more than happy to be in. May just keep and fix them both and worry about parking later. I also have a bead on most of the parts I need to fix Blue. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.

looks like wisconsin plates?? that thing looks pretty good for up there. I think that wouldn't be that hard to fix old blue, good luck, I bet if you kick the spurs into that thing, with a 390, it really goes.

On sale day, 360's magically become 390's!
1968/76 F100/250 4WD: The only V8 available was the 360 2V. 360/390 share the same block, the bore is the same (4.05"), the stroke is different.
Measure the stroke to verify engine size. 360 = 3.50" / 390 = 3.78"
No horn button on F100/350's after 1970. 1971/77 F100/350, 1974/77 Bronco, 1975/77 Econoline came w/a 2 spoke steering wheel using a vinyl horn pad that contains the horn switch.
There are two types of horn pads: Walnut wood grain finish (Ranger XLT/Bronco Sport/Econoline Chateau). All others came with a black camera case finish horn pad.
Number Dummy. Engine is like #4. FIL just kep putting different ones in either junkyard or reman and the horn is the two spoke like you said but its one on the things my wife said I cant fix.
F250 He told me he had it up to 110 once and I'm scared at about 60. She's a screamer. Dual glasspacks and it dumps in front of the rear axle.
This thing was and still is an old farm truck. Used to have a grill guard on the front that protected the grill from and untimely death in the back end of many a angry Heifer guarding her calf. Thus the front fenders are both junk.
I've always been like all the character of the old sentimental truck goes away when the cab leaves.
