I am hoping to find an original Ford toggle ignition switch for the wartime G8T 1 1/2 ton military truck.

I know they are somewhat hard to find. If anyone has a lead, please let me know.

I am also more than willing to trade a (reproduction toggle switch or a keyed switch) plus cash in exchange for an original toggle. That way if someone has a switch in a running truck, you won’t have any down time or have to go looking for a replacement.

 

Does the G8T have something different from the standard Ford switch?

 

This is the switch I am looking for. It is OD green and has a very small Ford "F" script on the cast body.

Sorry i can't help you with your search but will keep an eye out for one. I did look at this beauty a few weeks ago. I was pretty excited about it till i got there. It was very rough. I didn't even take any pictures of it. Now i kinda wished i had.
