6.7 Coolant Filter

I just jot a new 6.7 Platinum.
Is a Coolant Filter as necessary on the 17' and up 6.7's as they were on the prior models ?

I don't think they were ever considered "necessary" on prior years(11-16).

What would be in the Coolant that would need to be filtered out? No, it's not necessary.

While they were beneficial (needed?) on a 6.0, I haven’t heard of any justification or need on a 6.7. 8 production years on the motor now and no systemic failure like we saw on the 6.0 due to clogging the water side of the oil coolers. I think adding one to a 6.7 would only serve to create additional increased likelihood of leaks and reduce reliability.
