What all would I need to do in order to run late model rims on my 2000 f350 super duty. Would I need to run a spacer plate? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mike
Yes a good set of hub centric 2” spacers. I’m running them on two different vehicles and zero issues. But I did buy the expensive ones and they are steel not aluminum if that makes any difference? I don’t know
The 18" 03-04 Harley wheels are sexy but expensive and sort of rare. The 18" Lariat wheels look similar but don't have all the fancy machine work.
2" spacers are required (1.76" precisely but stud trimming is mandatory with spacers less than 2" thick) to run 05-present F250/350srw wheels on a 1999-04 pickup. I've used spacers for wheels on a few vehicles, one currently a 2000 with 2005 20" wheels.
As mentioned, either get a set of spacers, or don't plan on turning too sharp.
I thought you had to cut down the studs even with 2" spacers, but Cody probably knows better than I do. Son in law had an excursion with spacers. Thought they were 2" but could have been 1.75" or something. We had to cut the studs on that one.
Keep in mind that the thread is different on the 05 and up models, so be sure you know which studs come on your spacers and don't mix lug nuts from the old generation with the new ones.
