Not sure you could expect to do much better Mark, Those are some good numbers. I am also interested in the effects of the KC Stage 1 and I will let you know on mine. With me though, I was enduring a stuck turbo for awhile, so I expect some improvements ... but maybe not beyond what the fuel economy was before the turbo issues.
draboo - congrats on the fuel economy. I think that is around the best I have done except for a few times I had 30 mph wind behind me.
I do wish I know how folks like Sean can get 21.5!! My average for the last 190k miles is around 15.5.
LOL I thought my trucks turbo may have also been sticking some too because of the boost pressures I have been seeing for so long. At WOT it would swing up 22 ish at first then drop back to 18-20 lbs tops. But if I lugged it enough I would see 30+ lbs in top gear.
But after pulling off my turbo and separating the exhaust housing my unison ring falls on the floor. Turns out they put in a SS ring when they did the work on my truck, the mechanic sent me a picture of my old one along with the new one but I couldn't tell it was SS by photo. If he told me I sure the heck forgot it. lol
So I am pulling my up pipes to make sure there is nothing leaking back there. May have had a leak at the down pipe connection but who knows. The CAC pipes are pretty new Mishimoto and looked over the intercooler very well and saw no separating on the tank ends cold or hot side.
So I'm left scratching my head, I did have the EBP sensor go south on me a few months ago. Put a new Motorcraft sensor in along with running a weed eater cord down the stainless tube to exh manifold and blowing compressed air into it.
So I guess its push on and verify up pipes are good too. If so I have no idea why my boost pressures have been down last year or more..... I'm all ears if you have a direction to go to find the culprit. lol You and Jack are about as wise as they come as far as I know on this forum.
I really want to wrap those up pipes too for sound deadening reasons along with my 4" down pipe. Just need to yank them out of the engine compartment lol
Oh yea the shop welded a spot on my DP where it clamps together above bottom 90 to keep them together and aligned.....lol
May have been for just a go FU if you want to pull that out later.
No idea on this turbo raising or lowering MPG but would sure be nice to see 27-30 lbs boost again.

Reason: Oops
with those ,, hey I don't have those pollywogs on my keyboard. I will see if I can figure that out, I see some guys have marathon multi quotes. Makes me dizzy thinking about keeping that all straight honestly. lol
When your standing inside the computer as I see him now then it's on his right.
But then again maybe I should of just left that part out.
I think it's been a long year. 2 cats and one truck is too much to loose in a year.
Sean I too feel your pain, pets whether a cat or a dog absolutely becomes a part of the family and it its never a easy thing. Especially when they are your buddy and they cant be there anymore.
What I will say is that there is a dog or cat that out there that needs to be taken care of and the shelters have dogs there that have no business being there. The best dogs we have ever had were taken out of the animal shelters, they endure a lot of stress being there and know what they do have in a home.
We have taken home three dogs from the pound over the years and every single one of them would not be more than a eye shot away from one of us.
I'm a dog person myself but we also have two cats and they are characters too in every way our dogs are. Except the cats cant make the dogs run. lol
Go get yourself another Buddy !
One last thing, don't feel alone on the truck thing. I wrecked my first 2006 a few years ago myself after falling asleep coming home late one night. Thats a bitter pill to swallow on its own I know.
Hit a guard rail on Interstate 5 that was protecting a 16" pole to a highway sign. My truck rolled right over the guard rail then I hit the pole at 70mph.
Kept three out of four wheels. D/S front wheel hit guard rail dead on and was egged . But did also keep two tires and the tailgate. Nothing else was good.
Oh yea those FASS pumps are like Tiger tanks because its also on my current truck.
Summit Racing to my luck had one exact wheel on a shelf in LA since 2007 so I lucked out being that was the last year of production for them. It was black but with 3 days of stripping and polishing it was a match. Powder coating is much tougher to remove then you can imagine.
I'm the only looser in the states that likes the wheels was my guess. 2014 was year I did this handy work.
Also if you get on the freeway and get all that sand and truck moving at speed
I feel sorry for any stupid little Honda cars that get in front of you and do
something stupid. Like get in front of you. They call that scrap metal after the fact.[/QUOTE]
Thats pretty amazing that 10 mph wiped out the drivers side front clip of that Chevrolet there.
Was that front tire peeled back in its own special way ?
This cold weather business is raising hell all across the country here lately

Yes, the front driver's side wheel was not pointed in the same direction as the passenger side. I hate it when people allow a space for cars to cut across traffic like that.
