21.5 going down to SoCal to visit my sister.

And you know how fast they drive down there.
But once I started up the Grape Vine all gains were sort of eaten up.
But the over all trip MPGs were good.

Wow I can’t get over 15 on mine in a tail wind. Are these 2wd trucks?

Mine was a 4WD nit that is the one I had the wreck with.
Have not taken a long drive with the newest one yet.

Merry Christmas Everyone

I hit mid 18s on a trip to San Diego to pick up our Rhino down there (that includes the grapevine). I kept it around 70 most of the time. Trip back home with Rhino in back (it had a covered roof and sticks up over cab), still got 15 doing 70 again. That was an all freeway trip though...

I rarely pay attention to mileage anymore -- too much other data to watch!

The big trick is not doing a lot of speed changes if you want the best MPGs you can get.

I run 19.5 to a little over 20 on th Hwy. The lie meter shows around 21. Seems to do better the harder I push it and runs most efficiently over 70mph.

This one time at bragging Camp.... My rep gun is empty.

I think any 6.0L does fine compared to other engines in the age range. Tires, weight, pavement, grade change and driving styles make it a variable prediction on Fuel. Our engines do not go through regen....

My Ex get great fuel economy and I've found the lie o meter to be on the money. On a long trip it can bang out 24.5 no problem. If I find a truck to draft I can get 28.

I didn’t get that good, but agree on the drafting. If I can hang behind a Grayhound bus on the Parkway I’m a happy guy. Not that many casino busses anymore.

I think it's because the motor in the Ex is so loose. 242k on the clock with fresh injectors and I do 68/72 mph and run 65/60 in the tires. Little stuff helps

I don't mean to brag but sometimes I can get as high as 6.5 mpg. Of course it depends on how deep and heavy the snow that I'm plowing is. Doesn't help that I have a 9'-6" wide 1000 lb barn door on the front of the truck or the 1200 lbs of sand bags in the back.
