A week ago I got a build date of 1-5-18 from the dealer for my F 250 that was ordered on 11-10-17.
Today it came up in COTUS with an estimated delivery of 1-22-18 and also had the window sticker with dates of 12-20-17 & 12-22-17 on it.
I was told it takes 8 days from start to finish on the line to be built. So does that mean that a build date must be the day it comes off the line?
With the holidays it sound about right with the dates I have.
Would this be correct?
For shipping I live in Central FL
That’s how mine worked. It showed up as “in production” on COTUS on 12/12 which was the date by the item number on my sticker. The completion date for production was 12/20 which is now the date on the bottom of the sticker or the date the sticker was generated. Mine then showed a delivery date of 1/15 which seemed long even with the shutdown then yesterday I checked COTUS at the end of the day and the delivery date had been updated to 12/27 which will be 7 days form the end of production. I’m 655mi from the plant and it’s coming via convoy. Is yours convoy or rail?
According to my Fleet guy and the screen shot he sent me, my build date is today 01-03-18. ETA between 01-23 and 01-29. I'm hoping not 01-29 because I have a trip planned for 02-03 and I need time to break it in and get it rigged for my Lance Camper.
The truck is an F350 XL CC Dually FX4 6.7
It's been 11 weeks since I ordered it!! This is the longest I have ever waited on a build.
Between my Dealer, Ford Chat, and my window sticker, I have determined that my F350, ordered on 20 Nov, went into In Production status on 20 Dec. It is scheduled to roll off the line on 5 Jan. Then a spray in bedliner, a trip on a railcar, with a delivery ETA of 1 Feb.
I do not know if the F250 I ordered and then cancelled after 28 days has affected the delivery cycle of my F350.
2018 F350 Lariat Value 4X4 CCSB 6.2 w/4.30, White Gold, ordered 20 Nov
2018 F250 Lariat 4X4 CCSB 6.2 w/4.30, White Gold, order cancelled on day 28
That thing is a mess! At least last year it was when I was waiting for my truck. My Fleet Dealer was gracious enough to send me screen shots from his computer every time there was an update. Maybe your dealer can do the same.
