I remember that. For a short time I had a '86 Bronco w/ HO 351, factory 4 bbl. It had the heat riser coming up from the passenger side exhaust manifold. Never had an issue with the choke. But the butterfly valve housing off the manifold was cast iron and I had to replace it twice due to cracks. It was pretty embarrassing because I was a drill sergeant at the time, single, and living in an apartment. DS hours are long, so when I cranked the truck at 0330 hrs, the housing broke, and it sounded like a log truck. My neighbors weren't happy with me
