Tornado Fuel Saver?

PS. Oh yeah, let my girlfriend drive my truck once and she dented the hell out of the front right side. Does anyone know where the best place to get a new panel, "Nite" decals and the F150 emblem? Thanks...

"None of these miracle widgets works" is the basic statement I have heard over and over through the years. Afterall, with all the pressure on Detroit or the imports to improve gas economy or face stiff penalties and "Luxury" taxes, don't you think the automakers would jump at a $70 product that will significanly increase their mileage claims?
Most of these products rely on several of the following characteristics to work. 1) Gullibility; 2) Most people don't return products that have a money back guarantee; 3) The amount of actual gain if any is basically in the noise level or error in record keeping; 4) How do you really prove they work? I get variations in mileage of between 1-3 mpg on my routine driving, so a product improving gas mileage by 1-3mpg would probably get lost in the noise.
There are actually a few products that kind of work, but not for the reasons they give, and usually only in an engine that isn't running properly. Like the good old tried and true Spark Increaser or something named like that. It was a thing about the size of a film can that sat ontop of your ignition coil. It supposedly increased your spark. In actuallity it really did work, but like I said not for the claimed reason. What this product was, was a empty plastic case that had a spark gap inside. The spark gap forced the ignition coil to generate a higher voltage spark so it could jump the gap in addition to the sparkplug gaps. It worked in engines that were running poorly due to something(oil, wornout wires, poor fuel mix) fouling the plugs or causing a need for higher voltage. It did nothing for engines that were running fine, except to stress the coil. The problem is that if the coil is unable to generate the extra voltage, then the plugs don't fire. So yes it works, but you could get the same effect for free by pulling the spark wire out of the coil a bit, an old mechanics trick.
If one of these products had a real test lab testimonial with documentation, then I would look at them. If the testimonial is Joe Blow, who is just astounded at the incredible mileage gains he got, well I just keep thinking to myself that Elvis is alive and working at Burger King too according to testimonials.
Give me unbiased, name brand laboratory proof, then lets talk money.
But if you want to spend $70, I suppose it is OK, it helps the economy.
Quote I read in the 70s, "Why, the way I figure, if I added all these gas savers, I would have to stop every few miles and dump some gas out."
Good Luck,

anyway I've been having a problem with the front tank not reading on my gas guage; I'm wondering what gives with it any one had the same problem? This happened before when it was New I took it to the dealer that was 8 years ago now I have the same problem again most of the time it reads 1/4 of the tank , and that's when I have filled it up! HELP!!!!!
Ps The Guage works fine on the back tank!
When I win the Lottery Of course I'll quit me job,
I'll be rich not crazy.
I figured the float in the gas tank must have sank or something because now it reads just over "E". All I do is run on the front tank for approximately 200 or so miles in town and then I switch to the rear tank. That way I always know I have gas left. But as to how to fix it, I don't know.
