I have a 1986 f150 4x4 that is getting a 302 efi Jasper engines longblock engine put in it next week. It will be used as a daily driver that might get off road every once in a while but I would just like a little more power. I have been looking around for some kind of cheaper performance mods that give me better performance and mpg, that you dont have to take the whole thing apart to put in. So far I have only found a throttle body spacer and a tornado fuel saver. What do you guys think of these items and if you think that anything else would be better please post it.
thanks

Is this a carb'd motor or EFI? If EFI then yes the TB spacer is a paperweight, but the swirl type spacers do actually promote better air/fuel mixture on a carb'd motor.
If you don't have a good exhaust system then that's a good place to see real gains. Longtubes with some custom plumbing behind them will get the most, but shorties or even a high flow Y pipe and larger single behind the manifolds will help as well.
after i spanked my brothers 03 hemi he said he was going to put one of those tornado witchamagoozzys in his truck and run me again......i told him not to forget to pick up some chrome tipped tail pipes........lol
