Cruise Control Question

Just came over from GMC for the last 17 years and have a cruise control question. I could always just hit set on the cruise control and it would activate. I have to hit on and then set on this truck. Any way to only have to hit one button? Minor inconvenience I know, but just wondering!!!

If there was one primary complaint I have about my truck, it is definitely this. No, there is no other way. You have turn it “on”, and then set it. Every time. I wish it was a switch that stayed put, and not a button. I suppose they are worried about you accidentally setting the cruise since the set button is on the steering wheel. Who knows. 🤷🏼*♂️

I had always thought it an issue of who holds some patent somewhere in the code or process. Honda's CC system is the same as the GM system described above. Every Ford I have ever driven requires the On then Set operation each time the vehicle is started.

I wondered the same thing! Every vehicle I have had keeps the cruise on except my Toyota Tundra that I just sold.
