Correct me if I am wrong but I don't believe my first intake sloped like this. The holes look oblonged and different sizes. Contacting summing racing about this. Just got it on Friday 12/15/17
I feel something is wrong let me know if it isn't or to have suggestions.
IT looks about right to me. Compare it to a factory 1 bbl intake. I don't know the exact angle but the carb pad is always at a angle to compensate for anlge of engine and transmission when installed in chassis.
Measure each hole...don't go by what it 'looks' like. I don't think there will be a problem as long as they line up with the carb bores and the throttle valves clear.
The ports are off from each other as well and the boxes are angled funny. Almost like it slipped in the machine during manufacturing. They are shipping me a replacement. They said it would should be flat. So I'm not sure. They are contacting offenhauser and talking to them as well.
I think the concern you're concerned with is the carb mating surface being parallel with the same plane that the runners share. Use a set of calipers and get specific measurements of the bores to ensure that they're the same. The carb surface is canted on my DP intake as well. For something to shift that much in producing the part, something catastrophic would have to take place. Good eye for detail though....most folks dont notice the slope at all. Its made that way for a reason.
EVERY ONE i'EVER SEEN HAD AN ANGLED CARB PAD. eNGINES ARE USUALLY INSTALLED AT ABOUT A 4 DEGREE ANGLE (IT VARIES FROM ABOUT 2.5 TO 4.5 DEGREES). I think the pad should be about 4 degrees.

Same here. Both of my 4bbl intakes were sloped like this. And I agree, the engine is installed pointing slightly upward, so the slope is to level the carb back out.
Awesome! Thank you guys for the input. Spoke to Summit racing about the bores and they go ahead and install it if there are any issues they would replace it. They contacted Offenhauser and they stated it would be June before a new one would ever ship.
If you really wanted to be fussy you could overlay a carb gasket for the carb you plan to use and port match the opening to the gasket so no metal protrudes into the path of the bores. That's what I'd do, as long as the studs align.
