Excursion Shift Problems

I have a 2000 Excursion 5.4l, the truck wasn't shifting into park and after reviewing the website I came across tightening (2) torx bolts that vibrate loose over time. one bolt was missing so I tighten the one remaining bolt and all seems to be ok at this point but I would like to find where I can purchase a replacement bolt so this bracket is 100% secure, does anyone have part # or specs on those shift bracket torx bolts?? ***picture above is a screen shot of a previous post***

A Ford dealer would be able to get those if they are not already in stock.

I can get you one. Going out to the Gold Mine on Tuesday. I have had bad experiences picking parts for new members. Sometimes, I pick the part for them, and they never come back to claim it. Then I am stuck with the expense and storage.

Please don't be one of those guys...

I personally am just not that type of person. Now, which way am I talking about? :-)

Seriously though, I think its great that you take your time and look for stuff for other people. Down where I am at, there are not any more salvage yards that you can just walk into and pick your parts. And none with older vehicles.

Just the wife drove the X and overtime they came loose.. I thought it was the cable adjustment or something else.. Then i stumbled on a post about this.. But by then it would not shift and one of the bolt holes had cracked and was missing a piece. I put them in 2x but they re-loosened.. Put loctite and that has solved the problem so far... Hate myself for taking so long to address the issue but just no time.
