I dont know how much different the 94 5.8 intake is from a 88 5.0 but I had a problem with getting the gasket to fit correctly between the upper intake and the plenum. I first bought a fel-pro set and then traced down a Ford gasket. Both fit about the same.
They fit great on the plenum.
The problem was where the gasket fit the intake.
To correct the problem I took a razor knife and enlarged the holes in the gasket where the bolts go through so I could move the gasket around to the proper place.
My plenum used bolts not studs to mount it. I bought 4 studs and inserted them into the upper intake to hold the gasket in place. I used just a little gasket sealer on the outer edges of the bolt holes so keep the gasket from moving around when I sat the plenum down on the intake.
Perhaps yours is different and will fit better...
