Code alarm remote start help.
Haven't posted in a long time. But was looking for help on a code alarm system I have installed on my 2005 f350 v10. I have keyless entry and alarm but I don't t think I have remote start. The pn I have is 2w7j-19a498-aa. It says keyless entry and vehicle alarm on the box and is ford branded. What do I need to do to add remote start? Do I just buy the 10 pin harness and new key fob on eBay and install? I can't find much info on installation. Seems all the fte pdfs that were posted about this system have been deleted. Thanks.

I might be wrong but you might need this module along with the antenna and fobs to add remote start to the alarm you now have, pn 2w7j-19a498-aa.

honestly, sell the module you have and buy an aftermarket setup with alarm, keyless entry and remote start would be your best option

I have the antenna under my rear view mirror. I think the box I have is actually capable of remote start I just need the harness. But I'm not 100% sure. The boxes u show on eBay would actually replace the box I have and eliminate my alarm. Again I'm not 100% sure. But if it is just the harness and some wiring it would be worth keeping since the harness is only $20.00 on eBay. Hope someone with code alarm install experience will reply. Thanks for the info.
