T5 Trans Tunnel Modification

Hello, does anyone have any information or photos of how much I would have to modify the transmission tunnel to fit a T5? My truck was a 3 on the tree, and the trans tunnel is pretty low. I'm weighing a few transmission options, as my current OD toploader is on it's last legs. Thanks in advance!

I've put a couple of T5's in Falcons but never in one of these trucks. There should be more than enough room in the trans tunnel for a T5. You should only have to cut out for the shifter. I just put the engine and transmission in the cars and jacked up trans until the shifter touched the tunnel then cut the hole. There was a little more to it than that but you aren't doing a Falcon. You didn't say if your truck is a short or long wheelbase. If it is a LWB you need to figure out the drive shaft before you get too far into it because there is a limit to how long one can be.

My 65 F250 has an '85 Mustang T5 and flywheel added by the PO.

As stated above, the shifter hole is moved back about 16 inches.

I can't tell you more than that because I didn't do it.
