The battery bracket bolt on my 2014 Navigator broke off about 1/4 inch below the fixed washer at the bottom of the bolt. The remaining inch of threaded bolt extending out of the bottom of the battery tray will turn but will not come out. Anyone else have this problem? I went ahead and installed the new battery and put the battery bracket in place over the remaining bolt stub but it is not secure so I am counting on gravity to keep the battery in place.
Also, the positive battery terminal connector is corroded and in need of replacement. There are 2 cables attached by lug connector and 1 cable that is crimped. I have found a replacement that might work but it only has (2) zero guage inputs and (2) eight guage inputs. I suppose I could cut the lugs off and connect all cables directly to the inputs. Has anyone found a better replacement? TIA - Dale in Houston
