Trying to figure out why the blower isn't working on my 85 f150 351w. I put a new blower motor in and looked at the old blower motor resistor. The bottom cable is connected but I can't find the cable that connects to the single top post. I found a dorman replacement with that cable is it just a ground?
it used to have a.c. and has extra plugs everywhere just need to figure out what that top post is. If the resistor doesn't fix it I'm thinking heater control switch in the cab maybe?
That single one is used with air conditioning, I think it was part of the system that turns the blower on Low to keep the evaporator from freezing curing certain conditions.
Thank you for the reply. I'm trading my roommate my 2006 eclipse for his 85 f150. I put about a grand and do it making it run decent but it's had several different owners and I believe in engine swap but there's wires everywhere that are cut by the previous owner. Love the truck but it needs work a lot of it I can figure it out the forum has helped me out a lot so thanks for the help
