No turn over or start!!!!

I’m having a painfully difficult time with my truck. She won’t turn over in park nor neutral. The shift cable lever is tight. I’m desperate for some help.

2004 f250 v10. After putting the key in the ignition and trying to start, it won’t turn over. I’ve tried replacing the starter and that didn’t work. I’ve tried jumping at the solenoid and that doesn’t work. The shift lever cable is tight. It won’t even click (starter). The battery is new. I’ve cleaned all the connections. I’ve not tried a new relay yet.

After you check the volts on the new battery, double check the battery connections.

if jumping the starter solenoid... and the engine does NOT TURN OVER....

bad battery cable, bad ground,

bad Battery (YES a new battery can be bad)

bad starter... jammed starter...

but if it CRANKS, and does not START... different problem.

Well, after checking colts everywhere and getting good readings, she started. Really appreciate the input. I’m still at a loss as to what the hell happened. Hopefully we’ll get another decent day and I’ll dig into it deeper. I’ll keep up on updates.

I had a ‘99 Expedition that had a random no start issue - turned out to be a bad battery cable.
