A bit Optomistic?
Ad from local Craigslist:
"1990 mint condition ford f250 diesel. 4wd. This is a very solid and clean truck. It has the 7.3 IDI diesel with professionally installed turbo. can pull a freight train 70mph up vail pass steady and true."

Slightly, yes...
I will say that an IDI with turbo in good tune will pull /really/ nicely, though - I've had no problems pulling a good 10K worth of trailer at 75 on the highway...
Non-turbo IDI won't do that, though... 45, maby.

Macrobb -- on reasonably flat ground I believe you, but I don't think you could pull 10k up Vail pass @75MPH.

for a clean 4X4 diesel supercab with turbo and E4OD trans here in the northeast, $6500 is a VERY GOOD price.

IDK. The guy who tried selling a decent condition 4x4 IDI van with the banks turbo on ebay (starting at $12K, 10.5, 9, 8 ...) ended up only getting $6000 in the end. And the vans are usually more expensive than the trucks.
