Got in my truck a couple days ago, started it up and noticed the Airbag warning lamp was on. Then started noticing a list of issues;
Airbag warning lamp on.
Front right power window inop.
All radio and climate control functions inop.
Key Fob remote functions inop.
Tire pressure monitor warning lamp came on as well.
Blinkers flash extra fast (but only in the cab).
Truck only has 5k miles and has been flawless up to this point. I have an appointment with the dealer after work today.
I did try disconnecting/reconnecting the battery to no avail, also checked some of the pertinent fuses but seems to me that too many issues here to be just a fuse. Any one see this type of thing?
No driving in water at all. In fact it hasn't even been in rain in several weeks. Engine runs great, tranny shifts smooth. What's also weird is the radio is on and volume low but cannot change station/volume due to inoperative controls. Heater is on (low) and can't turn it off for same reason.
Moving on day #4 and dealer still can't figure out what's going on. They say the tech has been on and off the phone with Ford trying different things to no avail.
I think it's time to send in the big guns...
Keep you posted.
Update:
Just got a call from the service dept, rodents chewed on a harness at the firewall that was very hard to find.
Time to call my insurance.
