Sync / Radio Issue

Has anyone experienced issues with your sync/radio that in the lower right corner it says to "connection error-see delear"?

My controls on my steering wheel will no longer change the channel or adjust the volume. When it does change the channel it goes crazy and changes multiple channels.

I have also noticed my GPS arrow seems to drift off the road I'm traveling on and then will jump back to where I'm driving.

Anyone experience this?

Mine started doing this about a month ago. I haven't had time to mess with it but I did pull the radio fuse for about an hour and then reinstalled it and that took care of it for about two weeks, now my wife said it is doing it again.
Do you by chance have a lockpick installed? That is what I think may be the problem with mine but like I said, haven't had time to remove it to see if it fixes it for good (also reason I haven't mentioned it to dealer yet).

Becarefull pulling that tiny fuse! I dropped mine and it went all the way down into the rocker panel!

I do have the lockpick installed in my truck. I have had it installed for about 2.5 months. I stopped in a Ford dealer this morning and they sent out a radio specialist. (I did not tell him I have a lockpick installed). He said he had never seen the error message on the screen before. He said what it looks like is the snyc module (behind the glove box) is freezing up. He told me to go home and take the positive wire off each battery and let the truck sit for about 10 to 15 minutes and then re-attach and see what happens. He also asked if I had ever updated the sync software to the latest version and I told him no. So he also told me to install the updated software once I was done with the batteries.

As of right now and after pulling the batteries and updating the software everything is working like its new, granted its only been a couple hours.

On a small note. The specialist told me that it cost 600 dollars to replace the sync module! (I hope this battery trick works)

Allows you to override the Navigation system in several areas. Such as adding more cameras or playing a DVD while the truck is in motion

It is the lockpick! Call them and they will replace it for you. They have very good customer service and are aware of the problem. The problem will keep coming back and actually seems to get more frequent. Disconnecting the battery will fix the issue, but only for a period of time.

as for your radio controls....have Ford check the clock spring in the steering wheel. ive had to have mine replaced twice now in less then a year, because Ford has had revised part numbers for them, each time the cs was compressing the wires causing the buttons on the wheel to do everything other then what they were suppose to actually do.

I called Coastaltech yesterday and at first they said I needed updated software. But when I mentioned that I get the error "connection fault--contact dealer" then they said it is an issue with the lockpick and it needs to be replaced. They are sending me a replacement. I will let ya'll know if it fixes it when it arrives.

Thier tech support line number is hard to find on the web so here it is:
(321)547-5645.

Hey thom, is that a Denali 326 QB? I think we have the same exact camper. Rear master bed and front bunks? We absolutely love ours.
