on my 2016 Lariat with 20,000 miles, I hear something rubbing in one of the wheels during deceleration, just before stopping. The tone (speed of the noise) changes with the rotation of the wheel.
Dealer pulled the wheels off, checked the brakes and told me everything was fine. They blamed the noise on "dried rustproofing".
Vehicle undercarriage had been sprayed with KROWN rustroofing, but it looks like WD40 and as far as I know, it stays oily and "creeps" around on the metal and penetrates crevices. So how can something oily like a lubricant make a dragging noise on a wheel?
Has anyone experienced this kind of noise after a rustproofing job or is this BS and in need of a second brake inspection opinion?
