G'day guys, made a start on the upholstery, 3 ply with 1/2'' foam covered with vinyl, squares are 4 1/2'' high 4'' wide. Mack Superliner door handles. Put some Dynamat in too.
Cheers Lee, I was watching the temp gauges like a hawk ! 180* on the flat and climbed to 190* going up a hill. From what I read on HAMB this is normal, some guys say they get to 200* . I'll retorque the heads sometime this week. 50lb oil press cruising , running Castrol GTX 20W50 as I've run this in my 302 Cleveland for 25 years with no drama.
Regards, Steve.
that was nice! kinda of afraid when you met the first car,you were on the wrong side of the road!!!
i suppose it would be very difficult for us to adapt ,to a right side steering. i drove a nissain gtr once ,had a hard time shifting with my left hand. i would try to start in fifth gear, and it was just to bring it in the shop. imagine meeting cars! the Young man who owns the gtr said it was akward at a drive thru.
Thanks Joe, more buttoned vinyl for the headlining with a map reading light (dual ball type out of a BA or BF Falcon I forget what model) for interior light, these are small and suit the cab size. Brian, I've been to the U.S twice (hope to return in 2019) now driving in the U.S.... I had to really think about what I was doing...... but after a week..... no worries, If you were to come out here you'd be OK .....you would get used to it.
Regards.
I agree, double clutchin will help the crunch. I need to take a video of mine some time and post that, not sure how to film with my phone and drive safely though. I was just over in Australia again last year and drove a lot on the other side, at first it takes a lot of focus but you get the hang of it after a while.
