C8VE or C9VE Blocks

Does anyone have a good lead on where I could find a good C8VE or C9VE engine block for sale. Thanks

The casting numbers on these blocks are the same for the 429 & 460.

Measure the stroke to determine engine size.

I am looking for a 69 429/460 which are basically the same. I am looking for a C9VE block to go with a set of C9VE heads that I already have.

About the only good thing is the shorter deck height on the early block.

Yeah, put the newer pistons from the EFI engine, better, stronger, cheaper, and run the newer taller blocks, the taller piston does as much as the deck height does, and you aren't forced to build a 50 year old block.

Block casting number D1VE-6015 AB .. A1B .. A2B = internal balance: 1971/73 429; 1971/78 460; some 1979 460.

Block casting number D9TE-6015-AB .. external balance: Some 1979 460; 1980/97 460.
