Updated last night and the update took roughly 15 minutes and verified the version change after turning the truck off for a minute or so. I did not get a prompt to report back unless it happened in the background but I do have good WiFI coverage in my driveway.

Mine is magically upgraded to Ver 2.3. I tried to do the "Check for Updates" a week or so back and it said there were no updates.
Now it's version 2.3. It did say the last update was on 11/15 prior to me checking again this AM>

Does this mean if we have good WIFI and wait long enough, Sync will update itself? Doesn’t sound right.

Even though it doesn`t say it on the website, it`ll update via WiFi so just keep Automatic Updates turned on and make sure your vehicle is connected WiFi.

I guess Ford/SYNC has finally released the update via OTA.
This will help many people so they won`t have to deal with those PITA USB sticks.

Glad to hear that you now have 2.3 via OTA which is what Ford/SYNC should have done when 2.3 was released.

It`ll update itself but, it could work rather quickly or it might take a few days to a few weeks.
Just make sure you have at least two WiFi signal strength bars on your SYNC screen because one bar will not cut it for the OTA update in the short term.

I tried to download 2.3 today. Each time I got a message, "This service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later or contact us." It then lets me get to the page where I can request a download, but I get the same error again, and no email is sent.

I've got a good wifi signal from house to truck. Nothing has automatically updated via that method either. I gave up.

I tried a couple days ago for my truck and wife's Fusion...same issue. Ford says 2.3 is available for both vehicles. I downloaded v3.0 from another post, put it on a micro SD card and used a usb adapter. 3.0 updated just fine on the Fusion, took about 30 minutes. I'll try the truck next.
