That piece you made across the back of the cab - is art.. just beautiful.
Once you get the cab done you will have climbed Mt. Everest! That's the biggest
part of the project. Keep up the momentum... do a little every day.
Looking good in South Dakota!

I was able to open up the garage the other weekend too. Nothing better than having some fresh air and sunshine while working. I guess you could say, “It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood?” Sorry, I had to.....

My truck was last registered in 1984 and sat in a pole shed for 30 some years. So the roof is in great shape; I lucked out. Believe it or not, the last time it was on the road was 2 months before I was born!

Thanks for the compliment about the cab piece. I’ve never had a project that delt with fabricating metal so what better way to learn than with a truck restoration, right? I find myself continuing to second guess my decisions so the feedback is always nice to hear, even if it’s constructive criticism. We all have to learn the do’s and don’ts at some point!
My buddies forced me to go to the casino last night.... I don’t usually gamble but I’m glad they did! My winnings funded an early trip to LMC.
-Transmission cover/gasket
-RH A pillar
-Cab mounting hardware
-Cab floor braces
All things that I was going to try and reuse the originals. I could get used to an extra $300 a month. Might need to have a chat with my boss on Monday.
