I need to have someone follow me but from what I see my truck is running the cleanest on these new tunes. Before I would get a little smoke occasionally. Just got off the phone with Dusty actually. I had a few questions and messaged him he asked me to call him. Answered everything and then some. Very professional.

Running medium tow just driving around empty right now.

Did you talk about the ZF6 and towing heavy with Dusty? I believer earlier on he said that he would recommend the medium or light towing tune for the ZF6 because of the way power is applied differently than the 4R100. He had mentioned that heavy tow was just slightly different than stock in regard to power, but the shift points were altered for the 4R100.

I am looking forward to a ZF6 and 1023 Tuning review from you.

Well tried mine out today power is good but i do not like the shifting in the street shredder or the economy have not tried the tow tune yet. The shifting seems to either slam or slip into gear depending on what gear its going into

Derek0525, based on what we have seen here Dusty is more than willing to work out the issues that may have risen on your truck. Each truck is a little different even if they were built exactly the same almost 20 years ago.

Get in touch with Dusty and let us know how things go.

We just need to get a few more ZF6 shakers on the 1023 tunes so I can start to learn from them for future reference.

Yes we talked about towing heavy but sadly I have no plans to tow in the near future. I did a little data logging this morning. Just some normal driving nothing wot. Does FTE have a standard color code for making charts lol.

Here is a snapshot. Accelerating from 30 to 60 out of town. EOT IAT and MFD are in the legend but not shown. RPM and ICP are on the right scale. Starts in 3rd 4th then OD

EDIT FIPW is multiplied by 10

Edit again long slow shift watching things. Data points are every half second. First time logging and trying to figure it out. Need to do the same thing in my other tunes to get a baseline.

Same data changed start odf right scale to -2000 to try and split RPM and ICP from everything else.

Here is where it is a little funny. I don't see a problem just different than I think I was seeing with a different tune. Will try to log the other tune and compare.

Is the overboost CEL/alarm disabled in the 1023 tunes like GH does?

I haven't had a chance to give it full throttle yet, I will see what kind of boost its making and if it trips the CEL/Overboost light.

Dusty at 1023 Tuning does NOT remove the over boost CEL because he prefers people either run a boost fooler or notice that they are approaching high boost levels.

I had the opportunity to speak with him for just a few moments. He was in the middle of a live tuning session, so not much was discussed. I did tell him though that we appreciate his participation on the FTE, but we also understand that he has a business to run and cannot be here to answer any and all questions that we come up with.

I also told him that our FTE community was more about having our trucks run efficiently, clean power and tow heavy loads safely rather than blowing black smoke and doing burn outs.

Dusty was a respectful person to speak with and I look forward to doing business with him in the future.
