I haven't tried many but I think Gearhead would fit your bill. I had Gearhead and PHP tunes. I liked them both but Gearhead was a little more mild - linear throttle response, it didn't really "hit" unless you were deeper into the pedal, and my ICP never went over 3000 psi. I got about 1 MPG better with a GH tune compared to a similar PHP tune (as close as you can line them up side-by-side).

The only caveat I'll put out there is that this was custom tuning for my single shots. I would think that they would take the same approach with stock sticks too though.

I'm still happy with mine. The pedal is still a little too touchy for my taste, but 1023 is working with me to get it ironed out. I use the daily econ, street shredder, light tow, heavy tow, and high idle. Although the high idle tune is from the PHP library.

I mainly drive in daily econ because I like the quick shifts. I've towed a 5,000 pound boat with it in daily econ, I wouldn't recommend any heavier than that though.
Street Shredder is fun and can be daily driven, but i prefer daily econ because street shredder holds 1st gear longer.
Heavy and light tow have close to the same shift points, light tow just has more fuel.

I've tried 2 other "big name" tuners, and 1023 is still my favorite. Both motor and trans tuning.

I'd go with either daily econ or street shredder (or both, their is a noticeable power difference when you get on it hard).
Depending what kinda weight you tow, any of the tow tunes will work (just don't get the light tow tune and expect it to pull 15,000 pounds with no EGT issues)

1023 Sucks

My experience with 1023 has been horrible got a PHP Hydra with 1023 tunes and transmission went out two weeks after then when switching between tunes truck almost dies every time almost like wrong hex code on chip. Even When running the tunes throttle seems very sluggish. Have messaged and written emails with no response. I have run a TS chip with PHP tunes for 5 years with no problems just didn’t love the shifting but compared to 1023 which I would have never wasted the money on 1023. I would skip the 1023 tunes.
