How do you tell if the OBDlink MX is working right? IT still will not connect. I have tried Truck running not running . foot on brake . foot off brake Push button on the OBD AND hold button. I have tried everything i can think of. Still no go.

If the ODBLink MX is working correctly it will show as connected in your bluetooth devices list on your computer.

Green light comes on on it and the blue light blinks.

Click Start, then click Settings, then click Devices, then on the left click Connected devices. Do you see your bluetooth adapter here? If not, click add a device and see if you can get it connected.

Finally got it hooked up and now it keeps asking me for the extended license.? i have the extended one fro forscan. What am i doing wrong now?

I don't have my PC with me at work but there was something you have to copy from your ForScan download and enter into the ForScan software.

Question did I have to put a license # in for the OBDLink MX . When I got it i did not get instructions or a CD with It.

No I didn't have to do anything with the OBDLink MX. Just plugged it in and then connected to the bluetooth.

The code that I was thinking of is provided to you after you register on the forum. Once an admin has approved your account the code will be provided to you and you enter that in within the forscan app that you downloaded. Follow the instructions on the ForScan Spreadsheet thread and it will work fine.
