Axle question

Ok guys my wife has an 02 f250 powerstroke 4x4 Im fixing to start the process of rebuilding the front end I've ordered new hub brakes rotors calipers ball joints tie rods dust seals I'm pretty familiar with the process I recently rebuilt the front end of my dodge so I'm mechanically inclined. My question on these Dana front ends witch I'm not familiar with is is there a bearing in the end of the axle housing that supports the axle on the axle housing side of universal I know the hub surly doesn't support it threw a universal and plz some **** don't say the dust seal supports it bc a dust seal supports nothing. So my question is is the bearing in the housing or does it slide on the axle after the dust seal. And if so what is the part number my local parts store guys should be Walmart greeters bc they simply can not tell you anything without a part number. any help would be appreciated want all my parts before starting the job.

I've heard the Dodges are much more difficult than a Dana 60, so you are allowed only half the beer.

No bearing in the axle housing. There will be a black dust seal flopping around the end of the housing, don't worry about it they're all like that. Hubs do all the bearing work, which is bad since they wear out but good since they are fairly easy to replace. Preferably Timkens.

Here's a good write-up to get familiar. There are more out there with pics, plus videos, so surf around a bit. You'll need a seal driver, OTC 6695 or home brew as seen in the link.

Most complete ball joint kit is the Spicer 2020314.

Hubs and ball joints are typical wear items. Also the steering box can wear and get loose, there's some room for adjustment there.

half the beer hell lol idk about dodge being hard mine is very simple it doesn't have any play in steering she just comes in the drive way doing fourth lol the truck has eight inches of lift and thirty sevens and she thinks it's a NASCAR with a six speed lol but all is good it's been a decent truck for the past few years just time for maintenance like everything else also doing a new stage two clutch seeing *** how she pulls a thirty six foot horse trailer any tips to look out for on clutch would be appreciated also figure that's pretty simple tho
