Some Statistics

Some statistics for your information.

1. Avoid riding in automobiles because they are responsible for 20% of all fatal accidents.

2. Do not stay home because 17% of all accidents occur in the home.

3. Avoid walking on streets or sidewalks because 14% of all accidents occur to pedestrians.

4. Avoid traveling by air, rail, or water because 16% of all accidents involve these forms of transportation.

5. Of the remaining 33%, 32% of all deaths occur in Hospitals. Above all else, avoid hospitals.

You will be pleased to learn that only .001% of all deaths occur in worship services in church, and these are usually related to previous physical disorders.
Therefore, logic tells us that the safest place for you to be at any given point in time is at church!

Bible study is safe too. The percentage of deaths during Bible study is even less.

FOR SAFETY'S SAKE - Attend church and read your Bible ... IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE

I enjoyed the gospel singing in some of the black southern churches, but in other congregations those snakes sure looked like they could skew your statistics. And if someone had yelled fire I wouldn't have been able to understand what they meant.

Good point on the snakes. They probably cause half of the .001% church related deaths. lol

You didn't say how many people die sitting in their local pub drinking beer and watching sports. Just curious how it compared to bible study!!

If you subtract all the other reasons from 100% it gives you .999%. It might depend on if it was a biker bar or not.

I like ZZ Top and biker bars don't generally have snakes, so that's one up on safety in church.

A man appears before St. Peter at the pearly gate.

"Have you ever done anything of particular merit?" St. Peter asks.

"Well, I can think of one thing.." the man offers. "Once, on a trip to the Black Hills, I came upon a gang of high testosterone bikers who were threatening a young woman. I directed them to leave her alone, but they wouldn't listen. So I approached the largest and most heavily tattooed biker. I smacked him on the head, kicked his bike over, ripped out his nose ring and threw it on the ground, and told him, 'Leave her alone now or you'll answer to me'."

St. Peter was impressed. "When did this happen?"
