v10 engine conpatibility?
found a donor f350 engine with a v10 to swap with my 2006 f450 bucket truck with blown v10..has a 8th digit vin y same as mine, but its a 2009 f350 truck .. dealer ran the vin and said engine and trans appear to be the same... but couldn't say 100%.. he said I should do more checking... any ideas? thanks

. the engine is coming from a junk yard.. they have it listed as fitting an 08-09 because its coming from an 08 f350 bucket truck and aren't sure on the compatibility. it seems like what they put in the bucket trucks like the f450 are hard to check for some reason. I was of the understanding if the 8th digit vin matched you were good to go.. Ill ask them about what you said.. thanks
