I have a 2017 F-350 Platinum SRW. I have had a vibration issue. Ford sent a "engineer" and did a vibration test. Said it met spec but they re-Road Force Balanced the Tires and found another tire bad. They said it was within spec. Now they want to retest and compare it to a similar vehicle. This seems to exist on others as i have drove two others and on a perfect road you can feel it on 1 and not the other.
Does anyone know of a spec that exist for how much a truck can vibrate?
Platinum so I assume you have 20" wheels? My last truck was a Tundra with 20" wheels and always seemed to have a vibration. Even after I changed both the wheels and tires. I finally went down to the OEM, 18" wheel size and problems went away.
My '17 F250 Lariat has the 18" wheels w/275-70-18 tires and I have not had any issues in terms of constant vibration. The front end will "wobble" at times over a bump or pothole but nothing severe enough to warrant a visit to the dealer.
