Well I finally got the what I think is the right pitman arm for my truck after the D60 SAS... the pitman arm was a F250 and I ordered one from Amazon and although it's longer than the F250 one I'm wondering if I should have a drop arm? I don't know if the suspension is lifted... But I can see what I think is an add a leaf. And I did install a 2'' body lift...
Do you NEED one? No. But you do have a pretty steep angle on that drag link (it's actually steeper than it looks because the bend in it makes it look flatter than it really is). The biggest downside is that you'll get a fair amount of bump-steer.
I'm torn... Some say I need one and some say I don't...
The shop I had my rear driveshaft repaired at thought my truck was stock suspension (keep in mind that it has a 2'' body lift) except for the add a leaf in the front.
I don't know... If it's just an add a leaf that should only give another inch or so of lift... Maybe that's why it looks like it almost should have a drop Pittman...
Then the shop that installed the pitman arm was addiment that it was either the wrong arm or that I needed a drop arm... But I didn't hold anything he said in much regard as he also said I had the wrong axle! Saying that only dodge had kingpin d60 lol
When you removed brackets from the old ttb axle, how did you handle the one with rivets that goes up toward the engine mount? I've seen a write up saying to cut out just the protruding part, and some not mentioning it at all.

The left bracket on the rear of the engine cross member? Just leave it there. It doesn't interfere with anything.
Though, if you are putting a factory track bar on I suspect that you may need to remove it.
