Managed to glue the mirror mount backwards. I've never seen one come back off when you want it to. Any ideas to get it off without breaking the windshield.?
I just did mine a month ago. I happened to read the directions while the Mrs. was shopping. It said to get a new one and reapply over the upside down unit.
I've removed them before using a butane touch or heat gun and pliers to twist it off, whatever you do don't pull on it! Start off with a small amount of heat and a moderate amount of twisting force, keep adding a bit more heat till it pops off while twisting. You don't need to get the thing red hot or go hulk on twisting to remove it and don't do it while it's raining, a warmer day is best.
Always cringed at heating near glass. Watched a guy do the same thing several years ago. Destroyed his windshield in the end.
Think I will just get another puck and glue on.
