Header help
Not sure how many people have done this but I'm kind of doing a budget restomod, 90 5.0 with manual out of a f150 swapping into a 77 f150 2wd, I'd like to put in longtube headers just wondering who's done this before and what headers did you use that fit the best without huge modifications?

I got my long tubes from Advance auto parts. But you have to order them online. They don't carry them in-store. They were hooker headers. 1.75 OD and 2.5 collectors. I have a 73-2wd LWB. If you go 3 in you will hit the crossmember. Mine just barely clears but it does. Looking back I wish I spend the money on ceremic coated. I know you said budget Resto- which was my intentions but keeping as much heat out off the engine bay will save you headaches in the long run. Just my 2 cents.
