best headers

who makes the best headers, hooker or headman?

I presume you mean, who makes the better header, they are not the "best" by far... I prefer the Hooker headers over Headman's

I have to agree with Mike on Hooker over Headman, but there are far better headers on the market than either one of those two.

how much would one look to spend on some hookers for a 92 F150 5.0

Check summit for their price on the hookers, they are ussually competitive.

Hedman - not bad, good bang for your buck, but thinner wall tubing and thinner mounting flanges (use them on my 90 EB 5.8 Bronc)

Hooker - Heavier tubing and flanges but a bit pricey... mostly because of the name IMO (use them on a 1979 460 powered 4x4)

On the last truck I did (finishing it right now 90 F250 w/429CJ swapped in) I used Flow-Tech headers... they ended up being a heavier wall tubing and flange, with the cost not much more than the Hedmans were. Another thought... Flow-Tech and Hooker are both a "Holley Performance Brand".... possibly made on the same machine and just packed in different boxes??? Who knows, but for $200 less than the Hookers, I was happy with them

It all depends on what you are going to do with them. The Hedman hustler is a better all out race header than anything hooker makes. I would give Hooker the slight nod on the street.
