Hi everyone! So, I replaced the MLPS as a last resort when I thought my transmission had given up. Much to my surprise, this $40 sensor made my transmission feel like new again! You owe it to yourself to try that before you replace or rebuild your transmission.
Anyways, while installing it I think I followed the instructions I could find perfectly. I removed old sensor with transmission in neutral and put the new one on in the same position with the two fine lines lined up. Now, the transmission is perfect except my reverse lights don't come in while in reverse. I can see them blink for a split second as I go in between Park and Reverse, but they don't stay on. I took the sensor back off today and double checked alignment and even tried to clock the sensor a little differently... No change. Any ideas?
Truck is a 1994 F150/5.8/4R70W.
It was not a Ford part... Crap AutoZone part which could be the issue. I have tightened those screws before but it may be time to again. I'll look into it. Thanks.
