Zf6 sensor

Anyone know what the sensor on the back of a zf6 is for? Mine is disconnected and wires tore up

Not sure yet what it is but a new one will cost you $12.50. I broke mine pulling the tranny last night and it took my parts guy half the day to find out what it is, he didn't tell me what it was just ordered a new one. I assumed it was the reverse light sensor or something like that.

That's what I was thinking since reverse lights don't work

It is the reverse light sensor
