Hello, I want to get my Dad some mud flaps for Christmas and I want some that are like this: 2005 Ford Excursion | WeatherTech No Drill MudFlaps Mud Flap for Chevy, Ford, Dodge, GMC, Cadillac | WeatherTech.com But our truck is an eddie bauer and that won't work with the fender lip molding. Ford used to make one but they are out of production and there is no used market for them. If you want to know, the oem ford mudflap part # is 16a550. I don't want any that are rubber, or flap (that's ironic). Please help?
i've spent over a year after breaking two of mine over the winter trying to find more ford factory splash guards for an Excursion with cladding. i finally bought a set of rear ones from a fellow member they where $90 shipped just for the rears..i'm still searching for front ones.
they are not easy to find, keep your eye open on ebay and craigslist and you may luck out!

If I had known that I would have sold you mine instead of trashing them. I took off all four mud flap things. Broke a rear one off and like the look without.
I went with dura-flaps when I bought my 2005 Limited Ex. When I sold it, I kept them, and they are now on my 00 XLT. But if you run bigger tires, the occasionally rub, but other then the noise, no issues (rubber on rubber).
far as i can tell any of the aftermarket companys no longer carry the flaps made for excursions with cladding. i have searched high and low and called many manufactures all with dead ends.
only option i've found is waiting for NOS ford splash guards or used...its a tough market lol
Here is a pic of mine before the V/B spring swap. If you look closely you can see the splash guards.
Tried to order some, but they show only front flaps for Husky. Were your flaps identical? In other words, wondering if they are the same front and rear?

I honestly do not remember. It has been quite a while since I put them on. I will try to look tomorrow and see if they are different.
Now I'm 13, and I imagine, so here is an idea. You could cut the trim on the truck to where a non trim mud flap will fit. You would have to take off the trim, but I think it wouldn't be bad only because their is no market for them. What do you guys think?

here is a question: How flexible are those flaps? Would they crack/crush while offroad? I don't 4x4 much, but when I do I typically kiss stuff like that with rocks.
