Getting the gears swapped out next week and was wondering what people were using to fix their speedometer from changing tire sizes or re-gearing. Thanks...
If I understand correctly the dealer can't adjust speedometer accuracy after tires size changes on a Ford Super Duty. The only way that I'm aware of is by using an aftermarket tuner that has that option. I would think that if the gearing were changed within factory specifications the dealer service department should be able to adjust but that's something that you might want to ask your dealer. Maybe someone else here may be to add more information here.
That all depends. What gears are you going with? What tire size are you running? Does Ford offer a similar ratio stock? Give us some details and we can try to help you out. Some configurations are programmable using Forscan.

Going from 3.31 to 4.10 gears. Stock 33 inch tires, but setting truck up to eventually run 35's...

That should put you within the tolerance of Ford's specs especially after larger tires. So, I would think you would be able to make the change using Forscan. Take a look at the link below. It is regarding tire size, but because you are using GPS versus what your speedo says to figure out the required change, the concept would be the same for gear ratio changes.

has anyone figured out how to do this in forscan without getting an engine light coming on? I tried using forscan but i got the light. From what I hear there no solutions yet.

Not at this point.
As for the OP, with taller gears AND bigger tires, I wouldn't expect for him to have an issue with the DTC light.
