1992 LNT8000. The CV looking joint at the bottom of the steering column has a hard spot in its rotation and is missing the boot. Our vendor (dealer in Portland, OR) told us the part is obsolete and unavailable. Anyone made something else work?

Did the dealer give you the Ford part numbers for these parts?
Fixed position. We don't have the number. It first came in several months ago which is when we checked. The problem became progressively worse during harvest and the customer decided something needs done. We may have a lead on a used one now.
